El Cajon is situated in southern California. It is a valley, just outside of San Diego with the most incredible Pacific Cost weather. Here are somethings you should know about the beautiful place of El Cajon.


1. Climate


It experiences a mix of Mediterranean and semi-arid climate. There is a temperature variation within short distances. When you head towards the east, the climate starts to get drier. December is generally the coldest month of the year and the annual rainfall is below 20 inches.


2. Neighborhood


Fletcher Hills is one of the more scenic places in El Cajon to live. The landscape and beauty are great and a strong spirit of community rests among the locals. The best thing about El Cajon is that you are close to the ocean as well as the mountains. The downtown areas are more happening and young bustling with farmer’s markets, boutiques and other events. 3. Schools


The city contains two school districts, namely, Cajon Valley Union School District and Grossmont Union High School District. The former has over 20 schools and the latter, five. There are decent colleges in the town too like San Diego Christian College or Cuyamaca College etc.

The core of the public transport system is the Metro Transit System and also a trolley service. The Gillespie airport also lies within the city which is responsible for air shows, storage and flight schools.

Like any city, El Cajon has a unique and strong culture. There are a number of art galleries like Main Street 5 and the Olaf Weighorst Museum. There are quaint boutiques along the neighborhoods which will give you the complete shopping experience. The range of cuisines go from Mexican to Mediterranean.
