Cons

The life of a plumber has both pros and cons just like every other job. Taking a look at the downside of being a plumber. The number of hours that plumbers work is a lot. Many of them put in eight hour shifts everyday. This is just the start as there are many 24hr plumbing companies , they work day and night to take care of plumbing issues of their customers at any given hour. The job of a plumber is extremely demanding and is physically strenuous. Plumbers have to carry around heavy equipment, catch the weirdest of corners depending on the problem that needs fixing, this is bound to cause soreness in the body. If that was not enough, Plumbers also need to expose themselves to the various bacteria and infectious things that might arise in taking care of drainage or sewage systems. It also causes mental pressure as there are problems that may be very different from usual plumbing problems and it is on the plumber to fix these problems. They have to deal effectively with all kinds of clients and it is not necessary that all of them are very pleasant in nature. The plumbers however need to cooperate with them under the circumstances as a large part of their client base is built on word of mouth and they thus cannot afford to lose their clients due to a bad review. Even the apprenticeship programme takes nearly 4-5 years which is why it takes a while for a plumber to become qualified enough to make it to high paying jobs.
